Babak Zanjani's deposited debt has been 2 billion dollars

Babak Zanjani’s deposited debt amounted to 2 billion dollars.

Today, the Central Bank announced in a statement that Babak Zanjani’s foreign assets have been deposited into the Central Bank’s treasury. Investigations into the deposited amount in the Central Bank’s account indicate that the total value of his assets abroad introduced by Babak Zanjani is around 4 to 5 billion dollars, of which 2 billion dollars has now been deposited into the Central Bank’s foreign exchange account.

This operation was carried out by Babak Zanjani’s attorneys after selling assets abroad and transferring foreign currency to the Central Bank.

The total amount of Babak Zanjani’s debt was 2.8 billion dollars. A portion of this amount, namely 1.3 billion dollars, was repaid after the seizure of Babak Zanjani’s assets within the country.

His holdings in Sorinet Holding and Qeshm Airlines were among his assets. 1.5 billion dollars of his remaining debt amount was related to these holdings, and the updating of this debt after several years increased his debt amount to 2 billion dollars.
