The deputy Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran had nearly one billion dollars of military exports last year.

The deputy Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran claimed in a speech at Tehran’s Rajai University on Monday, November 22nd, that Iran had nearly one billion dollars of military exports last year.

Mehdi Farahi, without mentioning the details of Iran’s military exports, stated that the Ministry of Defense utilizes the companies of knowledge-based cities, industrial parks of universities, and science and technology parks. He also mentioned that seven thousand companies and over one hundred thousand people collaborate with this ministry.

The Ministry of Defense announced the one billion dollar military exports of Iran in the past year, despite the United Nations Security Council’s sanctions against Iran’s missile program, which ended in late October this year, based on the supplementary agreement to the Iran nuclear deal.

However, the US government has declared that it will intensify efforts to counter this program and the production of drones in Iran by imposing new sanctions.
