Human rights sources report continued security pressures on university students

According to the independent human rights watchdog, Kurdistan Human Rights Watch, two female students from the technical faculty of Sanandaj were abducted by security forces on Wednesday, 20th of Dey and taken to an unknown location.

This human rights source has identified the names of the detained students as Asou Moradi from Salehabad and Fatemeh Moradi from Ilam.

Since the start of the nationwide anti-government protests in 2022 in Iran, universities have been one of the main centers of these protests, and as a result, students have faced intense security pressures.
