Dina Ghalaibaf was detained after the publication of her account of her violent detention due to her hijab.
According to information circulated on social media, security forces have detained Dina Ghalaibaf, a journalist and student activist, at her home and transferred her to an unknown location.
The detaining authority and the reason for Ms. Ghalaibaf’s detention are not clear.
Dina Ghalaibaf had previously written about her detention accompanied by violence by Basij forces in Sadeghiyeh Metro on her Twitter account yesterday.
Yesterday, in the police room at Sadeghiyeh Metro station, when I insisted on paying the fare and having the right to use the metro, they violently took me to a room and shocked me.
Dina Ghalaibaf, born in 1379, is a political science undergraduate student at Shahid Beheshti University. Due to her participation in student protests in 1401 and 1402, she was deprived of continuing her studies by the disciplinary committee. She has collaborated with Hammiyeh Eghtesad Online and Khat-e-Solh monthly magazine.
