Dolls sellers help earthquake victims in Besiktas game

Besiktas fans donate thousands of cloth dolls to earthquake survivors

During the last match of Besiktas football team in the Turkish Super League on Monday night, fans threw thousands of cloth dolls into the field to help the survivors of the deadly earthquake in the country.

During last night’s match between Besiktas and Antalyaspor in Istanbul, fans started throwing the dolls into the field in the 417th minute of the game, which symbolizes the time of the earthquake on February 6th.

The players of both teams thanked the fans for collecting these dolls on the side of the football field. The dolls are intended to be sent to children who survived the earthquake.

According to the latest announced statistics, more than 47,000 people have been killed so far as a result of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
