Ehsan Lashgari resigned from the technical staff of the national freestyle wrestling team.
Two days before the start of the Asian Wrestling Championship, Ehsan Lashgari resigned from the technical staff of the national freestyle wrestling team. Lashgari was absent from the camp due to a trip to the United States, but upon his return, he had full presence in the Nowruz camp and was included in the list of the team going to Kyrgyzstan.
Now, Mehdi Taghavi, Reza Afzali, and Abazar Eslami are assisting the national team coaches. Critics do not consider the track record and coaching experience of this list appropriate, even with Lashgari’s presence, including the efforts of Muslimi, Moslemi, Juybari, and coach Hassan Yazdani, who told ISNA about Lashgari and Taghavi’s coaching resume for the national team.
Lashgari and the Wrestling Federation have refrained from reacting to the termination of their cooperation. The resigning coach of the national team had previously told the Wrestling Federation website, ‘I feel a duty and want to transfer all my knowledge so that we focus on technical issues and changing tactics of wrestlers for the Olympics.’
