Etela’at newspaper reported that supporters of Masbah Yazdi have gained control of the parliament.
Etela’at newspaper wrote that many political figures, referring to Masbah’s specific views on the decorative nature of people’s votes, the increase in disqualifications, Masbah’s followers dominating decision-making bodies, and ignoring people’s demands, consider it as the end of the era of the Islamic Republic and the beginning of the Islamic rule.
In the midst of these transformations and future trends, it remains to be seen what fate the changes arising from these elections will bring to the political and public arena of Iran. Will the right-wing extremists succeed in implementing the idea of an Islamic government, or will the reformists and supporters of civil society preserve the Islamic Republic from the challenges it faces? Only time and the actions of political groups will determine the answer to this question.
