European Federation of Wrestling Federations Does Not Issue Visas

European countries’ wrestling federation does not issue visas.

The wrestling federation announced the exclusion of two Iranian representatives from the Olympic ranking. Hossein Rasouli and Mehdi Pirjahani have been removed from the ranking allocation because they have not participated in any competitions since the beginning of the year.

Rasouli stood on the first-place podium in the Asian Games in Hangzhou by defeating Ehsan Hadadi in discus throw, but no plans were made to improve his ranking afterwards.

Pezhman Motamedi, a member of the wrestling federation’s management, says there are no plans to hold a European camp. He told ISNA that we should plan on countries that do not cause problems. Greece and other competitions in Europe have not granted us visas, so we need to consider alternative competitions.

Iran’s wrestling has not secured any other quota for the Paris Olympics besides Forough Abbasi. Ms. Abbasi does not face travel issues to Europe due to her membership in a Serbian club.
