Evidence of war crimes committed by Germany in Ukraine exists

Germany has evidence of war crimes committed in Ukraine.

Germany has announced that it possesses evidence of war crimes committed in Ukraine.

Peter Frank, the Attorney General of Germany, stated that Germany has collected evidence of war crimes in Ukraine and we take the need for an international legal process seriously.

He said, for example, we have focused on mass killings in Bucha or attacks on non-military infrastructure in Ukraine. The total number of cases we have is in the three digits.

Frank said that Germany began collecting evidence in March 2022 for possible prosecution of war crimes, including through interviews with Ukrainian refugees and evaluating available information.

He added that we are preparing ourselves for a potential future court case, whether it be in Germany, with our foreign partners, or in an international court.
