Two holding companies have sent written letters to the Farabourse expressing their interest in purchasing shares of Persepolis and Esteghlal football clubs.
While the Farabourse organization has announced that Persepolis and Esteghlal have no customers, our reporter has learned that at least two major holdings have sent their written requests to buy shares of these two clubs since a few days ago.
According to the Ministry of Sports and the Privatization Organization, it was planned to offer 51% of the shares of Esteghlal and Persepolis football clubs on the Farabourse on December 31st.
However, a few hours ago, Farabourse announced in statements that this offering has been postponed due to the lack of customers and will be rescheduled for another time.
According to our information, the sale of Persepolis and Esteghlal football clubs has been definitively assigned to two national holdings.
However, the offering of shares of these two clubs on the Farabourse through a tender has prompted other holdings to step forward. But the government, which does not want these two clubs to be owned by entities that it has less control over, has nullified the entire process of share transfer.
