FBI Starts Investigation into Election Cyber Attacks

FBI initiates investigations into cyber attacks on elections.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced that it has officially started investigations into the hackers’ attacks on both US election campaigns as well as the cyber attack on Roger Stone, one of Trump’s notorious advisors.

While the hacking of Trump campaign staff emails had been reported earlier and the stolen documents had been emailed to prominent American media outlets, the Harris campaign did not comment on these investigations and stated that they are still unaware of any internal system hacks. The situation could become sensitive for the Trump campaign because the stolen documents relate to the backgrounds of Trump’s deputy candidates, which have been collected for assessing their qualifications and potential criminal records.

Details related to Pence are present in the documents and have now been sent to prominent media outlets. These outlets have not yet taken steps to publish these details.

Iranian hackers are suspects in the case of hacking the internal system of Trump campaign staff, although naturally, the FBI has not officially confirmed this.
