Fines and Travel Bans Await Students
A group of parliament members has drafted a proposal that, in case of student protests, insults to sacred beliefs at universities, or any actions disrupting the educational and research missions of universities, the offenders will be subject to disciplinary actions and condemned to pay the full educational costs for that academic period. If necessary, they may also face a travel ban of up to 10 years.
This comes while student protests at universities across the country are entering their third week.
