Gas supply to government offices in North Khorasan cut off for two days

Gas supply to government offices in North Khorasan was cut off for two days.

The Director General of Crisis Management of North Khorasan Province announced the interruption of gas supply to government offices and other executive bodies in the province on the eighth and ninth of Esfand.

Gholamreza Shafieq stated that this decision by the Crisis Management Headquarters and the North Khorasan Governorate was to prevent the possibility of a drop in gas pressure in residential areas due to cold weather. It was further mentioned that on the ninth of Esfand, government offices would start work with a two-hour delay and one-third of the staff should be present at the workplace.

He also mentioned that the remaining employees who show up at the workplace should heat themselves with non-gas heating devices.

On Tuesday, the seventh of Esfand, the CEO of Tavanir Company emphasized the need for optimal electricity and gas consumption in the country due to the noticeable drop in temperature and recent heavy rainfall, urging for reduced electricity and gas consumption.

The Director General of Crisis Management in Tehran Province also announced a reduction in gas supply to industries and government offices in Tehran Province until further notice, with the aim of ensuring continuous gas supply to residential areas.
