The government newspaper calls for disqualifying Alireza Manadi

Iran newspaper, referring to the released video of Sepidan’s representative, writes

Alireza Manadi, the representative of some cities in East Azerbaijan province, who are known for their ethics and manners, displayed various inappropriate behaviors in a public meeting in less than two minutes.

While he was obligated to listen to the people’s problems according to the meeting’s agenda, he exhibited behaviors such as putting his hand in his mouth, cleaning his teeth, eating snacks, blowing his nose, and showing disregard to the audience. It seems that he not only had no intention of listening to the person’s words, but also did not consider respect for him and the people who were standing around his table necessary.

Many observers and social media users, regardless of any partisan or political view, demand an official and immediate apology from this representative for his indefensible behavior, and some express hope that such cases will be firmly considered by the Guardian Council in the qualification of future parliamentary candidates.
