Government spokesperson Ali Rabiei announced that using a VPN during sensitive times is considered a crime.
Ali Bahadori Jahrami, the spokesperson for the thirteenth government, deemed the announcement of the crime of using a VPN as a mistake at an inappropriate time. Apparently, he meant that the inappropriate time is close to the parliamentary elections.
He also stated that the target audience of this decision is primarily government entities and is aimed at ensuring security and protecting data from cyber attacks.
