Government Spokesperson Issues Permit for Importing Used Cars from Free Trade Zones

The government spokesperson issued a permit for the import of used cars from free trade zones.

Ali Bahadori Jahromi, in his press conference, mentioned in response to a question about the latest status of car imports that the ban on car imports had reached about 6 years until the previous government’s decision lifted the ban on car imports. One of the government’s programs to reform the car market was to support increasing car production, which is still on the agenda, and car production had a 40% growth in the year 1401.

The government spokesperson emphasized that the third phase of importing used passenger cars from free trade zones has been approved, and the implementation processes are currently being pursued. At present, we do not have any regulations that have been approved for importing cars by the government but not yet communicated.
