Grossi deemed Iran's cooperation with the agency unacceptable

Rafael Grossi described Iran’s cooperation with the agency as unacceptable.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency deemed Iran’s cooperation with the agency unacceptable upon his return from a trip to Iran and called for a change in Iran’s approach.

Rafael Grossi stated on Tuesday, 18th of Ordibehesht, in a conversation with reporters in Vienna that both sides have reached a common understanding and Tehran has expressed readiness to work on specific actions.

He also mentioned that there are three categories of issues: inspections, remaining issues, and voluntary actions that Iran can take.

According to Mr. Grossi, Tehran also has expectations for cooperation with Iran, and many political issues, including the lifting of sanctions, are important to Tehran. However, it is not up to me to solve them, but if Tehran truly cooperates with us, we can resolve the issues.

This comes as earlier in Iran, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic and Mr. Grossi announced reaching an agreement to implement the cooperation document on February 21, 2023.
