Warning from Guterres about the danger of nuclear war

In his speech at the opening of this session, he said, “In the past year, we have not only witnessed increasing pain, suffering, and destruction, but it is becoming increasingly clear that the severity of the situation can worsen significantly.”
The UN Secretary-General, referring to various threats, stated, “Among these threats, we have heard implicit indications of the use of nuclear weapons. The tactical use of nuclear weapons is absolutely unacceptable.”
Guterres, referring to the statements of Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, who had said that his country would use atomic weapons if it were in a threatening situation, stated that now we must distance ourselves from the precipice as quickly as possible.
