Hands are trembling in polling stations across America.
Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are the final days of the American elections, with the excitement of the election reaching its peak. Meanwhile, although many Americans have already voted, the presence of voters at the polling stations is increasing, showcasing those who have postponed voting to the last days, with Tuesday being the peak day for their participation.
In this situation, the hands of election workers and officials at the polling stations are trembling. Threats to their lives from extremists and Trump supporters, who claim electoral fraud two years ago and seek to influence this year’s election process, are increasing day by day.
According to the law, citizen presence as election observers to ensure fair elections is permissible. However, this process has its own rules and regulations. Extremists, under the pretext of exercising their citizen rights, gather armed, with violence and noise, around polling stations. The threats to citizens are serious, but aside from the danger to voters, the main threat is to election officials.
Available documents show that in a span of forty days in recent months, one hundred and forty serious death threats have been recorded against them in just one county in the state of Arizona. Official reports from this part of Arizona alone have documented sixteen hundred pages of threats against election officials, just for one county in one state, during the summer.
