Commander Hossein Rahimi, the head of economic security police, mentioned dealing with currency dealers and stated that it is not just about the increase or decrease of currency, but there are underlying factors that influence the situation. For example, during the storm of Al-Aqsa, we faced an increase in currency rates. As we approach the Eid days, there is a possibility of an increase in currency rates. Commander Rahimi added that the Central Bank should be accountable for the rise in currency rates. As the police, we have taken action against more than 50 cases of currency dealers and individuals involved in future transactions this year, arresting dozens of them. The enemy is planning to disrupt the currency market.
Rahimi considered the reasons for the increase in currency rates to be multiple and stated that each department has its own responsibilities. Accountability for this issue is not solely for one entity.
