The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran says 130 inspectors from the authorized agency are allowed to be present in Iran

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that 130 inspectors from the agency are authorized to be present in Iran.

He emphasized that Iran has not prohibited any of the agency’s inspectors from entering Iran, and currently more than 130 authorized agency inspectors are allowed to be present in Iran for inspections. Accordingly, the agency’s inspections at Iranian sites are ongoing within the framework of the agreement.

He continued by expressing hope that since the statement of February 2023 by the Islamic Republic of Iran is still valid, we will continue our interaction with the agency within the framework of that statement.

He added that there have been disruptions by destructive forces working against Iran’s nuclear program against this statement, casting doubt on the validity of the said statement. However, we will engage in negotiations with Mr. Grossi and are confident that these exchanges and dialogues will help clarify these ambiguities and strengthen Iran’s relations with the agency within the framework of the agreement.
