The head of the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization in 11 provinces of the country are involved in floods and inundations.
The head of the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization announced assistance to more than 800 people affected by floods and inundations in 11 provinces of the country.
Babak Mahmoudi explained the details of the incidents caused by floods and inundations in the country, stating that in accordance with the previous announcement of the Meteorological Organization, the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization had put its rescuers in the declared provinces on standby and accordingly, the rescuers’ actions began from the moment of the floods and inundations. They had also initiated preventive and warning measures earlier.
The head of the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization stated that the operation of evacuating water from 142 residential buildings had also been carried out by Red Crescent rescuers. 175 people were provided with emergency shelter and 21 people were transferred to safe areas.
According to Mahmoudi, 50 operational teams consisting of 157 rescuers and rescuers provided relief services to the affected individuals of floods and inundations in these 11 provinces. So far, 330 kilograms of nylon, 72 blankets, 19 food packages, and five emergency tents have been distributed among the affected individuals.
