In Memory of Mohammad Mehdi Karami, 'Don't Tell Mom' is Circulating on Social Media

In memory of Mohammad Mehdi Karami, ‘Don’t tell mom’ is being shared on social networks.

Following widespread reactions to the execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami, one of the protesters by the Iranian government, many graffiti featuring a sentence he said, ‘Don’t tell mom,’ are being shared among social network users.

Mashallah Karami, his father, had said in an interview with the Etemad newspaper in late December that he called us and said, ‘Dad, they have given us the sentences; mine is execution.’ My son was crying and said, ‘Don’t tell mom anything.’

Mohammad Mehdi Karami, 21, was a karate champion with several titles. His parents released several videos asking the authorities to revoke his execution sentence because their son is innocent.
