The inflation index in six provinces of Iran exceeded 60 units

The poverty index in six provinces of Iran has exceeded 60 units.

Statistical data related to the level of poverty indicates the decline in the welfare of the people in Iran in the past year.

According to the statistics of the Central Bank on the economic situation in Iran in the autumn of 1402, there has been a significant increase in the poverty index in 25 provinces. Based on this report, the poverty index in seven provinces – Lorestan, Kermanshah, Yazd, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Kurdistan – has exceeded the national average by more than 60 units, reaching 52 units at the national level.

The economic website Eghtesad-e-Iran, while examining the statistical data of the Iranian Statistical Center, wrote that in the autumn season, the average poverty index in urban areas of Iran was 523 units and in rural areas it was over 51 units.

Studies show that from autumn 1401 to this year’s autumn, the poverty index in urban areas of 25 provinces in Iran has increased, with cities in Sistan and Baluchestan province leading the list.
