Instagram denied the government's announcement of park closures on 13th of Farvardin

Instagram account of the government’s information center denied the closure of parks on the 13th of Farvardin.

The Instagram account of the government’s information center, PAD, announced in a post that the deputy security minister of the Ministry of Interior has denied the closure of gardens and parks on the 13th of Farvardin. It was stated that this ministry had not issued any announcements regarding the closure of gardens and parks on Nature Day. Earlier, Iranian media had reported that due to the Ministry of Interior’s order, parks and recreational areas would be closed on the 13th of Farvardin until one hour before Maghrib prayer.

The reason for this action by the Ministry of Interior was stated to be the coincidence of the 13th of Farvardin with the martyrdom of the first Imam of Shia Muslims.
