International Amnesty warns that the international world order is on the brink of collapse.
Amnesty International announced in a report on Thursday that the post-World War II global order is on the verge of collapse, with bitter conflicts on multiple fronts and the growing threat of artificial intelligence destabilizing this global order.
Amnesty International Secretary-General, Agnes Callamard, in an interview with the French news agency, discussed the annual report of the organization titled ‘The State of Human Rights in the World.’ She stated that all the evidence and indicators of the past 12 months suggest that the international world order is on the brink of collapse, especially as the United States has shielded Israeli authorities from multiple attacks in Gaza that have occurred under their watch. The United States has undermined the meaning and primary duty of the UN Security Council by using its veto power regarding the ceasefire in Gaza, rendering the council empty of its essential purpose.
