Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson sees no need for a second JCPOA

The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not see any necessity for a second JCPOA.

Nasser Kanani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the ideas for JCPOA 2 are being proposed by individuals who have failed to fulfill their commitments and have not honored their accepted obligations within the framework of the agreement.

He further stated that the issue related to Iran’s nuclear issue is clear and transparent, and Iran’s nuclear activities continue within clear mechanisms. Iran has consistently proven the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities within the framework of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and this has been confirmed in 15 reports by the agency after the JCPOA.
