These attacks employ new tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and specifically target individuals in universities and research organizations.

The report states that government-affiliated hackers from Iran are targeting journalists, researchers, professors, and others who hold viewpoints on security and political matters that are of importance to the Iranian government.
