Iranian National Fencing Team Secures Olympic Team Quota

Iran’s national fencing team secured a spot in the Olympic team quota.

Iran’s national sabre fencing team secured a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympic team quota.

Iran’s only competitor for this Olympic team quota was Japan, who failed to advance to the top eight teams in the World Cup in Hungary by losing to Romania. Instead, Iran joined these teams and secured the Olympic quota.

By securing this quota, Iran’s national fencing team will participate in the Olympics for the second time.

The World Cup, the final event of the International Fencing Federation for distributing Olympic quotas, is taking place in Budapest.
