Iranian police sealed a bookstore named Jira in Sanandaj, which belongs to Zhina Madresehgarji, a women’s rights activist.
Based on images received by Persian Bayanis, this shop was sealed due to not observing compulsory hijab.
Security forces have detained Ms. Madresehgarji several times and she is currently released on bail.
She was one of the activists who was immediately arrested after the protests following the killing of Mahsa Zhina Amini in late September.
Ms. Madresehgarji was again arrested last spring on charges of spreading lies through interviews with opposition media.
The Iranian government, to enforce compulsory hijab on women, has resorted to methods such as fines, filing legal cases, sealing businesses, and confiscating cars after nationwide protests in Iran.
In recent months, there have been many reports about sealing businesses in Iran, but the government has not officially announced the statistics.
