Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Has Received Two Notes on the Ukrainian Plane Case

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received two notes regarding the Ukrainian plane case.

Nasser Kanaani said today that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received two notes through Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry on behalf of four countries: Ukraine, Canada, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry did not mention the content of these notes in the weekly press conference and only said that the Foreign Ministry has reviewed these two notes and the recent statement and will provide its precise response after coordinating with other agencies.

He also stated that Iran condemns any political exploitation of the Ukrainian plane incident and urges countries to avoid political motives.

The four countries—Canada, Ukraine, Sweden, and the United Kingdom—had given Iran a deadline to respond to questions regarding the downing of the Ukrainian plane and to discuss compensation for the families of the victims, otherwise, they would refer the matter to international authorities.
