Result of Israel’s investigation: Two officers dismissed due to the attack that led to the death of 7 aid workers in Gaza
In response to increased criticism of the Israeli army’s conduct in Gaza and the killing of seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen, Israel has dismissed two of its officers and reprimanded three others.
Daniel Hagari, the chief spokesperson for the Israeli army, described the death of these aid workers as a tragedy on Thursday evening, April 6, and told reporters that the dismissed and reprimanded individuals violated army regulations and exhibited mismanagement in this matter.
Mr. Hagari stated that the head of Israel’s Southern Command is among those reprimanded and announced that the investigation results have been handed over to the army’s chief legal officer to decide if others were involved in this issue and if further punishment for the offending soldiers is necessary.
The dismissed military personnel are a colonel and a major in the Israeli army.
