The European Union Joins the United States in Launching a Maritime Corridor to Aid Gaza

The European Union will join the United States in launching a maritime corridor to assist Gaza.

Amid warnings about the dire conditions in Gaza, which is on the brink of famine, the European Union, along with the United States and the United Arab Emirates, state that they will establish a maritime corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the region. Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, announced this plan on Friday, March 8, during a trip to Cyprus, where she also warned about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

She stated that the operation of this plan should begin over the weekend, with a trial operation scheduled for Friday before that.
