Lawyer Javad Rouhi, who has not set fire but only danced and thrown scarves into the fire,

Majid Kaveh, the lawyer of Javad Rouhi, one of the detained protesters in Noshahr who has been sentenced to death three times, says that his client’s case lacks any evidence and that he has only danced in Noshahr square and thrown a few scarves into the fire.

Mr. Kaveh told Shargh newspaper that the accusation of Quran burning has been attributed to him by the interrogators, but there is no witness or evidence, and Mr. Rouhi has repeatedly denied it during the interrogation.

Javad Rouhi, a 35-year-old resident of Amol, was arrested during the protests on September 21st in Noshahr. According to his chosen lawyers, he has been sentenced to death three times on charges of spreading corruption on earth through committing extensive crimes against national security, including destruction and intentional burning of places, insulting sacred beliefs, and burning the Quran.
