Leasing electric cars in exchange for paying 100 euros per month in France

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday the start of implementing a leasing system for electric cars in exchange for paying 100 euros per month, mainly targeting the middle and low-income segments of society.

According to him, the implementation of this program will begin on January 1, 2024, and within its framework, at least 20,000 cars of this type will be supplied to applicants in 2024, with the number of these cars gradually increasing.

Mr. Macron also stated in a video posted on social media that, as part of France’s environmental planning and for the continued reduction of pollutant gas emissions in the country, we must replace our so-called thermal cars with electric vehicles.
