Lord Stuart Polak left the room when Amir-Abdollahian began his speech.
Lord Stuart Polak, a representative of the House of Lords in Britain, requested that the Foreign Minister of his country leave the room when his Iranian counterpart began his speech at the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting.
Mr. Polak stated during a speech in the parliament of his country that if we are defenders of human rights, our Foreign Minister should stand up and leave the session when Hossein Amir-Abdollahian speaks.
He referred to the international campaign requesting members of the global community to leave the Human Rights Council meeting when the Iranian Foreign Minister speaks, and he requested that James Cleverly, the British Foreign Secretary, take a firm position and leave the room at the beginning of Amir-Abdollahian’s speech due to the Islamic Republic’s killings, torture, and executions of Iranians.
The name of the Iranian Foreign Minister is listed alongside his British, Swedish, French, and Norwegian counterparts as speakers on Monday, the 8th of Esfand, at the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting.
