Malika Qaragozlou, an imprisoned student, was transferred to a psychiatric hospital.

Mohammad Ali Kamfirouzi, a lawyer, reported the transfer of Malika Qaragozlou, an imprisoned student, to Amin Abad Psychiatric Hospital in southern Tehran.

He held judicial and security officials responsible for Ms. Qaragozlou’s health.

Mr. Kamfirouzi wrote that several psychologists and psychiatrists had previously certified that his client could not endure imprisonment.

Malika Qaragozlou, 22 years old and a journalism student at Allameh Tabataba’i University, was arrested for posting a video of herself without a hijab on Instagram and sentenced to 3 years and 8 months in prison and social deprivation.

According to Malika’s lawyer, she was recently re-arrested due to false charges fabricated by the security office of Allameh Tabataba’i University and intelligence services.
