Mehrdad BezarPash, as the only active telecommunications tower in the area, we were unable to determine the exact location of the crash.

Mehrdad BezarPash, the Minister of Roads of Iran, who was present in one of the helicopters of Ibrahim Raisi during the inauguration of the Qizqalas dam, described his account of the first moments after the disappearance of the President of Iran’s helicopter in a conversation with the Iranian state television.

In this interview, BezarPash says that in the first moments after the helicopter crash, the Imam of Tabriz, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the East Azerbaijan Governor all tried to call, but because there was only one telecommunications tower nearby, rescuers were unable to determine the exact location of the crash.

According to Mr. BezarPash, at least three cell towers are needed to determine the exact location of a mobile phone, but there was only one tower nearby.

Prior to the publication of the news, a phone call with Mohammad Ali Al-Hashem, the Imam of Tabriz, in the moments after the crash had raised doubts about the reason for the rescue forces’ inability to determine the exact location of the crash.

Mehrdad Bazrpash says that the flight crew of the helicopter, along with Ali Akbar Mehrabian, the Minister of Energy, and Gholamhossein Esmaeili, the Chief of Staff of the President, realized the disappearance of the President’s helicopter around twenty minutes to two on Monday, 30th of Ordibehesht.
