One of the reasons for the worsening air pollution is the burning of Mazut, says a member of the Parliament's Health Commission

One of the reasons for the worsening air pollution is the burning of Mazut, according to a member of the parliamentary health commission.

Yahya Ebrahimi, a member of the parliamentary health commission, said that every year we talk about it and yet we don’t understand the respiratory problems caused by this air pollution and the indirect medical costs it imposes on respiratory patients at a national level.

Undoubtedly, one of the reasons for the worsening air pollution is the burning of Mazut, which unfortunately has detrimental effects on the respiratory, cardiovascular, and vascular systems, and is one of the causes of a significant increase in lung cancer in the long term.

The municipality and the government blame each other, but both must certainly be accountable.
