The migration of women has increased in recent years

The migration of women has increased in recent years.

An Iranian newspaper has focused on the intensification of migration and quoted the director of Iran’s Migration Observatory, who reported an increase in the share of women among migrants.

The newspaper ‘Donya-e-Eghtesad’ has published a statistical report on gender breakdown in the field of migration, stating that in 2021, over 52% of permanent residencies issued to Iranians in Canada, 45% in Finland, and 49% in Australia were granted to women.

Behram Salavati, the director of Iran’s Migration Observatory, has announced that according to a research titled ‘Analysis of Women’s Migration Experience,’ the majority of Iranian women who migrated to Canada are educated and hold at least a master’s degree.

The latest data from UNESCO’s database in September 2023 also indicates that the population of Iranian students studying abroad has been on an increasing trend for the eighth consecutive year.
