Minister of Education: We do not have statistics on detained students

Yousef Nouri, Iran’s Minister of Education, said in an interview with ILNA news agency that they do not have statistics on students who have been detained.

In the nationwide protests in Iran, more than 50 children have been killed so far, and reports indicate a large number of students have been detained.

Mr. Nouri stated that for some students who naturally disrupted the order and discipline of the environment, our friends in counseling centers are working to identify the existing issues and, God willing, help the students with counseling and psychological methods.

The United Nations and human rights organizations have expressed concern about the violence and arrest of students in Iran.

In the protests that began after the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the morality police, teenagers have played a significant role.

In this context, other news has been published.

  • Voria Ghafouri was arrested.
  • The husband of detained journalist Niloufar Hamedi: Niloufar cried when she saw a football field for the first time.
