The Minister of Communications announced seven deliberate sabotage cases in fiber optic lines.
The Minister of Communications of the thirteenth government claimed seven deliberate sabotage cases in the country’s fiber optic network coinciding with the early presidential elections.
On Friday, Eisa Zarepour, during a visit to the Ministry of Interior’s monitoring room, announced the connection of 58,600 branches to online identity verification systems. More than 400 inspection teams examined 700,000 kilometers of urgent fiber optic routes on the ground and in the air.
Zarepour also reported seven deliberate sabotage cases in fiber optic lines in the past 24 hours and stated that connection teams immediately restored communications. According to Zarepour, in some cases, the ground was dug up to two meters for sabotage.
According to the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Republic, the verification process for voters in the fourteenth presidential election will be done electronically to determine if a person who votes in one branch has not voted in another branch. Unlike previous elections, the participation stamp will not be included in the voters’ ID cards in this round.
