Ministry of Intelligence announces the arrest of 13 individuals on charges of espionage

The Ministry of Information announced that 13 people have been arrested on charges of espionage.

According to the Ministry of Information, in a statement, 13 people have been detained on charges of espionage in the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, West Azerbaijan, and Golestan.

Although combating espionage is not considered a violation of human rights, considering Iran’s government’s history of using this accusation as a tool to deal with political opponents, especially with the lack of clarity in the details and the judicial process, such claims are always viewed with skepticism.
