Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, demands more actions against France

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has called for more actions against France.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, condemned the publication of a caricature of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, by a French magazine as an insult to the wise leader of the revolution.

He also considered the publication of this caricature as a sign of the failure of the project to incite unrest, but did not mention how the protests, street presence, and nocturnal slogans continued yesterday.

Mr. Ghalibaf also requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue its strong response to the French government with reciprocal actions.

The French magazine Charlie Hebdo had published caricatures of Ayatollah Khamenei in its recent issue, and following that, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in statements that it would close down the activities of the French Iranology Association as a first step.
