Mohammad Sadegh Koushki, Professor at Imam Sadegh University: This Generation Respects No Red Lines

Mohammad Sadegh Koushki, a professor at Imam Sadegh University, believes this generation does not adhere to any red lines.

Mohammad Sadegh Koushki, a professor at Imam Sadegh University, stated in an interview with ILNA.

In my opinion, the recent disturbances and events we’ve witnessed in our country over the past few weeks have a central core and a surrounding radius. The central core consists of a portion of our country’s youth and teenagers. This generation, in my view, is suffering from normlessness. They do not adhere to any red lines, and this issue is observable in areas such as law, nationalism, religion, and the like. We must pay attention to the fact that this generation, along with the challenge of normlessness, is the product of the performance of our educational and cultural systems over the past 20 years. This normless generation is experiencing a serious identity crisis, and the rebellion and strange violence observed in their words and actions are the result of this normlessness taking shape. However, I also believe that this normless generation is not entirely to blame for their current situation.
