More than 1000 people from Khuzestan have been admitted to hospitals

More than 1000 people from Khuzestan have been admitted to hospitals.

Officials from Jundishapur Ahvaz Medical Sciences University announced that over one thousand people from Khuzestan province have been admitted to hospitals due to heart and respiratory problems caused by air pollution.

Masoumi, the deputy of treatment at Jundishapur Ahvaz Medical Sciences University, stated that all hospitals affiliated with Ahvaz Medical Sciences University are prepared.

According to this university official, most patients have been discharged from hospitals, but about 200 people are still hospitalized.

In Iran, tens of thousands of people die each year due to complications from air pollution.

According to experts, the lack of sufficient gas for refineries in Iran has led the government to resort to Mazut fuel again, which has caused severe and unprecedented air pollution in various cities.

In such conditions, individuals with heart or lung diseases, the elderly, and children should reduce their outdoor activities, especially long or strenuous ones.
