More than two thousand workers lost their lives in workplace accidents in the year 1402.

Two thousand one hundred and fifteen individuals lost their lives in workplace accidents and while performing their jobs in the year 1402.

According to the head of the crime scene investigation group of the Legal Medicine Organization, 2115 individuals lost their lives due to accidents that occurred during work last year, showing an 113% increase in fatalities compared to 1401.

Out of the total workplace accident fatalities last year, 2094 were men and 21 were women. This number was 1870 men and 30 women in 1401.

Based on this statistical report, Tehran and Isfahan provinces had the highest number of fatalities with 414 and 172 individuals, respectively. Khorasan with 147 individuals and Mazandaran with 138 individuals ranked next.

The lowest death toll during work belongs to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province with three individuals, Ilam with nine individuals, and Zanjan with ten individuals.

Falling from height with 983 fatalities had the highest share in workplace accident fatalities, accounting for 46.5% of all fatalities. This type of death had a 142% growth compared to 1401.
