Murdoch Goes to Court Over Extremism Legacy

If the famous series Succession made history by delving into a story inspired by the life of the well-known Murdoch family and the twists and turns of Rupert Murdoch’s life, his children, and his media empire, attracting many fans and viewers, the succession and throne game of this family now heads to court in Nevada. Rupert Murdoch is trying to keep his extremist media structure out of the reach of his liberal and moderate children. James, Elisabeth, and Prudence are Rupert’s three children who are standing against their father’s firm desire to change the constitution and management structure of his media empire. They want to block their father’s intention to make Lachlan, the child chosen to run this empire, the absolute future ruler of the organization. Lachlan, who is even more attached to his father’s extremist approaches, has already begun to suppress even the slightest tendencies towards moderation in his media outlets. It was under this policy that the Wall Street Journal, in recent months, published some of the ugliest and most misleading articles about Democrats and Biden. Rupert Murdoch’s other children do not sympathize with this approach, particularly James Murdoch, who recently gave official support to Harris and has made significant efforts in enlightening and progressive activities. However, none of these three are known as famous liberals and progressives. They are above all seeking a serious role in the future of their father’s legacy, which naturally includes prioritizing the control of extremism in the well-known media outlets owned by the Murdoch family. The three main and well-known Murdoch children, Lachlan, James, and Elisabeth, have had tense and fluctuating relationships with their father. Long estrangements and distancing from Rupert have been a significant part of each of their lives.
