Ettelaat Newspaper: Organizations Do Not Provide Land; The Promise of 4 Million Houses Remains Unfulfilled
A year after Raisi’s government came into power, if not a million, at least close to a million houses should have been built for the government to fulfill its promise of housing construction. However, no specific statistics on the fulfillment of the government’s promise have been released so far.
In this regard, Ettelaat Newspaper has written that a look at the performance of the thirteenth government over the past year shows that in many cases, the final decisions of some agencies to solve issues within their specialized domains have conflicted with the interests of other agencies, leading to delays in the implementation of the mentioned resolutions.
The newspaper added that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, in order to fulfill the President’s electoral promise of constructing 4 million housing units over the past year, has particularly counted on using lands belonging to other governmental agencies and has even obtained the President’s directive to allocate government lands to the National Housing Movement plan.
Ettelaat added that it still faces strong resistance from ministries in allocating lands and has failed to achieve the goals of this plan.
