North Korea Launches Missile Towards the Sea of Japan

North Korea has reportedly launched a missile towards the Sea of Japan.

Apparently, North Korea has once again tested a new missile, which the Japanese Ministry of Defense suspects to be a ballistic missile.

UN Security Council resolutions have prohibited North Korea from testing such missiles.

Despite widespread international criticism, North Korea continues its provocative missile tests, significantly increasing the number of tests last year.

South Korean news agency Yonhap, citing military sources, reported that North Korea launched a missile towards the open waters of the Sea of Japan on Saturday, February 18th.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff have not commented on the type of missile tested so far, but the Japanese Ministry of Defense suspects it to be a ballistic missile.

According to UN resolutions, North Korea, which has become highly isolated internationally, is not allowed to test ballistic missiles of any range.
